Chocolates !!!! Slurrpppp..yum yum .
This long weekend one of the places we all (Mahesh,Vaishali,Raghav,Naveen,Aravind and Me) visited was HersheyPark and Hershey’s chocolate world at Hershey in Pennsylvania.Hershey is 3 hours drive from New Jersey or New York. 7 hours drive from Boston.
Chocolate world is not the place for actual production of the Hershey’s chocolates. They have a simulated factory of the chocolate making process. There is a free tour to see this simulated chocolate making process.Sample of Hersheys chocolate is given free of charge at the end of the tour to taste.
My favourite among Hershey’s chocolates is Almond joy. I always liked chocolates with nuts. Hence this stands as one of my favorite. All varieties of Hershey’s chocolates , t- shirts, jerseys, goodies and gifts are for sale in the store. Souvenirs being more expensive as expected.
The other side of Harshey’s Chocolate world is HarsheyPark. A theme park originally built for the employees of Hershey’s Chocolate company. The day-pass for adults costs $56 inclusive of all the rides .The scariest among the rides was the Sky Rush. The tallest roller coaster ride.
It was a very sunny day. Hot and scorching sun dehydrated us. Long queues and hot sun did not let us cover half the rides. So we decided we will take only the MOST thrilling rides and skip the simpler ones. Raghav and Naveen covered an extra ride while Aravind and me just did 3. I had a terrible headache after the sky rush hence couldn’t do more. Aravind was riding on roller coasters for the first time. Hence he couldn’t do more.
After light lunch we left the place by 3.30, since we had to drive to New Jersey. Vegetarian dinner at Saravana Bhavan in Edison ended the tiring day.
Next is …..Wait for it!!! :).
